Why work with me?

I’m result-oriented, for a Psychotherapist. I go deep, for a Coach. I’m ambitious, for a Buddhist meditator. I’m commercial, for a business about healing. I’m extraordinary at what I do, and yet another professional guiding people through major life transitions.

I’m all about love, yet I believe it's vital to get to know our anger. Compassion for all is at the core of what I do, yet believe that compassion is never complete if it doesn’t include yourself. I am passionate about joy, yet I believe we can only be as happy to the extent we dared to face our sorrow. I’m an absolute expert in what I do, yet just like you, with so much more to learn on this wonderful journey called life.

I’m East and West. Spiritual and business-like. Quick and still. Calm and uplifting. Aspirational, and one of you.

My personal philosophy and approach to life

Reminding the world how to love

Picture me in 2006, our setting is Nepal sitting atop a stupa. Quiet and still, contemplating my life, when suddenly a voice spoke clearly to me "You are wasting your life”.

I knew in my bones that voice was right.

I stepped away from my corporate career and spend several years exploring Buddhism, meditation and spirituality across Nepal and India.

But what truly mattered was the transformation that happened within me. My heart opened wide, and I softened in a way I had never experienced before.

From that point on, my choices were motivated by a wish to be kinder, to myself and others, and to be of genuine benefit to this world; giving me a sense of expansive joy. In Buddhism this is called Bodhicitta – the awakened heart. You and I might call it love. A deep love for life itself, for the world and all beings, big or small, near or far, friend or foe.

My life's intention became to live and love in a way that inspires others. Beginning within: in our own mind, our own heart. I feel a deep calling to remind people how to love: themselves, others and life itself.

When we re-connect with a wise love that’s bigger than ourselves, a calm spaciousness, a joy comes over us, radiating out for the benefit of everyone we meet. In this way, I believe our very presence is healing to others.

Our world desperately needs more kindness, let us spread the love.

And this is the gift I now share with my clients. Supporting you to reconnect with what matters most, so you can live life with greater authenticity, compassion, and a deep, joyful love.

Tagline to love and be loved

What my friends know about me

  • I’m convinced I can’t sing, I used to lip sync during 'Happy Birthday'! I now chant mantras in a yoga studio, slowly raising my voice from a whisper.

  • I sort my books by colour on the shelf because it looks so pretty and peaceful. I’m such a visual person, this way I find it much easier to find the book I’m looking for.

  • When I’ve stayed in a hotel and it’s time to leave, I thank the room for the wonderful time (and make my husband laugh).

  • In the Netherlands, we had ‘friendship books’ at primary school. To “what do you want to be?”, I answered: “happy”. It still makes me smile.

I look forward to getting to know more about you.
